Episode 18: 18: An Open Conversation about Racism with Joslynn Flowers

 “I want to be heard, I want people to listen and I want you to empathize and I want you to stand with me”

In God’s eyes, we are all his beautiful and amazing children. We are created and born equal, but how could we humans, cannot look at each other as God looks at us?

Coinciding with the recent event that occurred on the 25th of May which has gone viral and gave rise to thousands of individual to stand up and fight for their rights, I am very blessed and honored to have with me a dear friend of mine, a beautiful woman of color, wife and mom of four, Joslynn Flowers on a truthful and open conversation about racism.

Luke 15: Let us all take this time to pause and think, how could we, as part of the 99 sheep save that one missing and endangered sheep?

Highlights:

• The unforgivable inhumane racism experiences that Joslynn had to go through because of her color and how she handled every situation accordingly
• Realizing on how privileged I am with my skin color and how we can be a part of the solution in resolving racism
• Media’s huge contribution on this event and how it misleads the people on thinking about the current situation
• Why rioting, breaking others property and chaotic protest isn’t the solution in seeking justice for the black lives
• Understanding that all lives matter but not all lives are at stake right now
• Why it is very important to have an organic conversation about races with your children early at home and how you shape them so they could bring out the message to everyone that all colors are born equal.
• Opening a simple conversation, lending an ear, uplifting and encouraging persons of color around you, that they are not alone in this battle and you are fighting with them.

Speak up, pray for them, and stand with them, sign the petitions, vote wisely.
